A sweet and savory take on a grilled cheese! Made with crispy bacon, sweet blackberry jam and our award-winning Vintage Lot 18, a Gouda aged for 18 months with notes of toasted walnuts and a slight crystalline texture.

  • ¼ cup blackberry jam
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter
  • 4 slices sourdough bread
  • 6 slices thick-cut bacon, cooked
  • ½ cup packed baby arugula
  • 6 ounce wedge of Artikaas Vintage Lot 18 cheese, shredded

HOW TO MAKE IT:

  1. Spread jam evenly on one side of each slice of bread. Spread butter evenly over the opposite side of each bread slice.
  2. Top 2 slices of bread, jam-side-up, with 3 slices of bacon and arugula. Top evenly with roughly 1/2 cup Artikaas Vintage Lot 18 and remaining bread slices, jam-side-down.
  3. Press roughly 1/4 cup of cheese into the buttered sides of each sandwich.
  4. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Working with 1 sandwich at a time, cook until bread is toasted and cheese is crispy and golden-brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Repeat with remaining sandwich. Cut and enjoy!
