INGREDIENTS:
FOR THE BURGER:
- Artikaas Smoked Goat Gouda, shredded
- 1.5 pound ground pork
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
ASSEMBLY INGREDIENTS:
- Toasted Buns
- Fig Jam
- Arugula
- Olive Oil
HOW TO MAKE IT:
- Toss arugula with olive oil, salt and pepper.
- Toast buns on a baking sheet in the oven at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes or until golden brown.
- In a bowl, combine pork, onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper and salt.
- Heat a cast iron pan over medium and add a tablespoon of oil. Add burger patties and cook evenly on each side for 3 minutes, depending on how thin the patties are. Always check the internal temperature of the pork which is recommended at 160 degrees.
- Once flipped, place a heaping mound of Smoked Goat Gouda on top of the patty and let melt.
- Spread fig jam on the bun, add burger patty and top with arugula.
