INGREDIENTS:

FOR THE BURGER:

  • Artikaas Smoked Goat Gouda, shredded
  • 1.5 pound ground pork
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt

ASSEMBLY INGREDIENTS:

  • Toasted Buns
  • Fig Jam
  • Arugula
  • Olive Oil

HOW TO MAKE IT:

  1. Toss arugula with olive oil, salt and pepper.
  2. Toast buns on a baking sheet in the oven at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes or until golden brown.
  3. In a bowl, combine pork, onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper and salt. 
  4. Heat a cast iron pan over medium and add a tablespoon of oil. Add burger patties and cook evenly on each side for 3 minutes, depending on how thin the patties are. Always check the internal temperature of the pork which is recommended at 160 degrees.
  5. Once flipped, place a heaping mound of Smoked Goat Gouda on top of the patty and let melt.
  6. Spread fig jam on the bun, add burger patty and top with arugula.
