HOW TO MAKE IT
1. When arranging a cheeseboard, always start with the cheese! It's typically the largest item, so you want to make sure there's plenty of space for it. Choose a variety of cheeses for different flavors and textures!
2. Cut each type of cheese into a distinct shape and size, so that it's obvious they're all different. Place the cheese into small groups and arrange each group of the same type in a similar manner.
a. For crumbly aged cheeses like Artikaas Vintage Lot 36 Gouda, use a knife to insert into the cheese and twist off crumbly bite-sized pieces.
b. For firm cheeses like Artikaas Holy Sheep Gouda, slice into triangles and arrange in a fan. Be sure to cut off the wax rind!
c. For semi-firm cheeses like Artikaas Youngsters Goad Gouda, use a heart shaped cookie cutter to cut out cheese hearts!
3. Add small bowls of fruit jam to the board.
4. Arrange the crackers and salami in small groups around the cheeses using the same principles of grouping! Again, be sure to spread the crackers out evenly across the board.
5. Fill the last big gaps with your favorite fruit! Be sure to cut the fruit in ways that add interest and color to the board. Thinly slice the apples and fan them out.
6. Fill in the remaining small gaps with chocolate and nuts.
