INGREDIENTS
Prep Time 15 minutes
Cook Time 17 minutes
Total Time 32 minutes
Servings 6 people
- 1 puff pastry sheet
- 3 tbsp fig jam or jam of choice
- 5 thinly sliced prosciutto slices
- 1-2 oz Artikaas Vintage Lot 36
- 1 egg, beaten
- 12 wooden skewers

HOW TO MAKE IT:
- Defrost the puff pastry according to the package instructions.
- Once defrosted, roll the puff pastry out on a lightly floured surface until it is half as thick.
- Lightly score a line in the center of the puff pastry, being careful to not cut through. On one half, spread the jam into a thin layer, leaving a ¼-inch border at the top.
- Place the prosciutto in a single layer, then top with the finely grated Artikaas Vintage Lot Aged Gouda. Fold over the puff pastry, and press the edges down with a fork to seal.
- With a sharp knife, cut the dough into 12 even strips. Working one by one, zigzag each strip, starting wider at the bottom and narrowing as you reach the top, forming the shape of a Christmas tree.
- Pierce the puff pastry tree from the bottom and gently push the skewer through while twisting it back and forth. Place the puff pastry trees on a parchment-lined sheet pan, leaving at least 3 inches of space between them.
- Preheat the oven to 350℉.
- Brush each tree with egg wash.
- Bake for 15-17 minutes, until golden brown.
