INGREDIENTS:
Serves: 4
Total time: 15 minutes
- 4 ounces Artikaas Youngsters Hickory Smoked Gouda, shredded
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 clove garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup beef broth (or chicken broth)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon dijon mustard (optional)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper

HOW TO MAKE IT:
1. Melt the butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add in the garlic and cook for 2 minutes or until fragrant.
2. Add in the flour and stir to combine. Allow the flour to cook for 1 minute, then slowly whisk in beef broth until combined. Whisk in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer and cook until thickened, about 5 minutes.
3. Once the sauce has thickened enough to coat the back of a spoon, add in the dijon, salt, and pepper.

4. Add in the shredded Artikaas Youngsters Hickory Smoked Gouda and stir until the cheese has fully melted into the sauce.
5. Taste and adjust seasonings as desired.
6. Serve warm over your favorite cut of steak and enjoy!
